Originally from Aberdeen, but now based in the sunnier surroundings of Sydney, Mossy is the moniker of one time actor Jamie Timony. Under his alias, the Scot has created a rich tapestry of complex sounds on his recent five track eponymous debut EP, to create his own unique blend of pop. From the funk laden melody of Shipping Yard to the synth heavy Electric Chair, he knits together style into a sonic cardigan around his echoic vocals.
Sway Clarke
Hailing from Toronto but now based in Berlin, Sway Clarke is easily one of the most emotive artists to burst through into the RnB scene recently. On his debut EP Bad Love, his smooth captivating vocals can leave you numb in an instant, such is the sheer power that he has at his disposal as heard on the tremendous Deepak Chopra. Expect this man to be causing major waves in no time.
Holy Balm
Returning back to Australia, Sydney trio Holy Balm make off kilter free form house, that compels you to twist and turn your body with every glitchy sidestep they take. The three piece have a definite less is more feel to their synth soaked weirdness. Their latest single Fashion, taken from new album Activity, wouldn’t sound out of place if Ridley Scott decided to take up making Ridge Racer.
