Woot! The return of a Getintothis Liverpool favourite – it’s what Saturday nights are made for.
Le Bateau: If you live in Liverpool and love great music, has been your natural home for bloomin’ ages.
But with a new year and a new hot damn decade on the go, exciting changes are coming to Saturday nights at the old boat.
As Liquidation head honcho Jules Bennett, explains: “After many years of faithful service, Uptight has been put out to pasture, and upstairs every Saturday night from January 16th we’ll be hosting Adult Books.”
Yes, kids, The Books are back!
Adult Books has been a regular fixture of Le Bateau since 2004, but until now always on hangover threatening weeknights. Now, those who are strict weekenders find out what all the fuss is about, with glam, punk, electro, new wave ‘n’ now thrills aplenty, every Saturday from 11pm til 4am.
Plus, in a credit crunchingly cool move, Saturday’s at Le Bateau will be just ã4 instead of the usual fiver, with ã3 entry for students and early comers. And there’s hot new drinks offers coming to give your wallet a break too!
Jules added: “If we’d had a third dancefloor in Le Bateau, Adult Books would have joined the party on Saturdays a long time ago, so it’s great to finally have them on board.”
Also launching (from January 23) is Liquidation Live. Every fortnight there will be a showcase of the best local, upcoming or established bands in a 30 minute guerilla gig at midnight.
