Here we are, rounding the corner and on the final stretch before Liverpool Sound City 2016. We’ve looked at the artists and events in depth and now we’re here to lend a helping hand with the logistics and practicalities of the weekend. Let us do the research, you just grab a beverage and make the most of what will be an unforgettable few days.

Location Location Location
This year’s Sound City returns to Bramley Moore Docks where multiple bespoke venues, stages and spectacles will take over the area, all within a short stroll of each other.
The site is completely surrounded by water, but rest assured that the incredible Sound City team have made it absolutely safe for you to be able to enjoy, but be sure to keep an eagle eye out for all the safety measures they’ve put in place. See below for the handy site map.

Travel
As with any event that draws a crowd you will need to plan your route to and from the festival site over the three days.
You’ve got a few options in regards to getting to the site. Let us lay them down for you.
Shuttle Bus Service
Shuttle bus services shall run from Liverpool City Centre to the festival site in the day and back again in the evening. Return tickets for the shuttle buses are available to buy in advance for £5 per day.
They’ll be running from St. Georges Mount (outside Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station) to the festival site from 11:00am to 3:30pm each day. The return journey runs from the festival site back to St. Georges Mount via The Baltic Triangle (for da afta-partayssss) from 11:30pm to 1:30am both days.
Train
Grab the Merseyrail and head for Sandhills station and you’ll find that Bramley Moore Dock is just a short walk away.
Your best bet will be a Day Saver ticket which usually starts from £3.70 which are valid after 9.30am Monday – Friday and all day on weekends and bank holidays. Result.
If you’re planning to return by train, please make sure you check the time of the last trains and give yourself enough time to drag yourself away and get back to Sandhills station. Even better, download the Merseyrail app and keep checking for service updates throughout the weekend.
Driving
Parking will be available very close to the site and will be clearly indicated. For sat-nav purposes here’s the full site address, and remember, car sharers are carers.

Walking
If the sun’s shining and you fancy stretching your legs to take in the glorious sights of Liverpool then just head to the riverside and look out for the signs. There’ll be plenty of people to follow too. It’s about a 25 minute walk from the centre of town.
Taxi
We’ll assume you know the basics of catching a taxi from town, but if you need one getting back home at the end of the night there will be clearly marked black cab taxi ranks directly outside the Sound City entrance. Plenty of other private hire companies will also be able to pick you up if you call them direct. Here are some of the trusted numbers to put in your phone:

Timing
As with any festival site there are certain access times that you’ll need to keep to. The Box Office (located on entrance to the site) opens at 11am each day for ticket and wristband collection, the festival site opens at 11:30am with the first artists playing at 12pm, so be sure to get their early.
Last entry to the site will be at 16.00 each day, get there early and don’t risk being left out in the cold.

Tickets
If you haven’t already got tickets, then why are you reading this? Tickets are still available to purchase here but hurry up.
If you have already purchased your tickets then all you need to do is bring your ticket to the main entrance site where they will be scanned and exchanged for a stylish wristband.
The Baltic Warehouse

The full running order can be found here and live guides and set times will be available every day from the merch stands. The headliners should be finished roughly around midnight with late night warehouse parties, DJs and after parties picking up where they left off.
