Boomtown fair celebrates Chapter 7
Getintothis’ Laura Coppin skips ahead to chapter 7 to see what twists and turns Boomtown Fair has in store for us this year.
Already winter has begun to loosen it’s icy grip, and with the first creeping signs of golden sunshine comes the last of the Boomtown Fair’s numerous line-up announcements.
Boomtown is a festival-come-pop-up-city known for it’s remarkable musical diversity, hosting hundreds of artists across 22 stages and 9 unique themed districts. If the high caliber of names on the bill are anything to go by, then 2015 will most certainly not disappoint. Gypsy punk leviathans Gogol Bordello will be bringing their infectious magic to Oldtown’s Town Centre main stage, alongside Flogging Molly with their own unique brand of transatlantic Celtic mayhem.
New Jersey ska punk favourites Streetlight Manifesto will also be laying waste to the Town Centre, whilst reggae-royalty Stephen Marley as well as the legendary Matisyahu will be bringing their inimitable sounds to the impressive Lion’s Den stage.
With other bands including John Butler Trio, SOJA, Squarepusher, Less Than Jake, and Infected Mushroom gracing the bill, is sounds as though Boomtown is going from strength to strength. Miss it, and you’ll most certainly be missing out.
