From Blair baiting to Shellac mischief and Dave Benson Phillips japes, Organ Freeman’s 2014 was more fun than yours, Getintothis’ Peter Guy rounds up the best of ’em.
No band has kept us entertained both on and off stage more in 2014 than Organ Freeman.
Whether it’s wilful misbehaviour from the lip of the stage, shooting from the hip via social media or simply causing a big hoohah with mischief, they’ve ticked every box.
All of which would be a bit naff were they not to have the tunes and stage craft to back it up. But as outings at Liverpool Music Week, two revelatory cameos at 10 Bands 10 Minutes (Do The Bartman a particular favourite) plus sharing with us their debut ‘single’ proper Pop Goblin, they’ve time and again proved to be the region’s pop mavericks with substance behind the silliness.
