Baltic Triangle’s creative conference unveils a stellar musical line-up aided by Getintothis.
Liverpool X has unveiled its music programme curated by some of Merseyside’s top independent promoters.
Master producer and DJ Glimpse and Bristol’s New York Transit Authority, will be among those appearing on November 20 alongside the best emerging artists from Liverpool.
The music programme has been curated by Josh Burke from promoters Waxxx who will be presenting a showcase in their own Haus venue, between 10pm and 4am.
‘We were excited to come on board when were saw the scope of the event,’ said Josh.
‘I was so happy to be able to bring some of Liverpool’s best promoters together for one night where we weren’t in competition, but working with one another. This has been a long time coming and hopefully give people the opportunity to sample lots of new music and new spaces in Baltic Triangle.‘
Getintothis and The GIT Award will be celebrated with a special showcase of winners, nominees and artists championed on these pages with a special gig at Haus on the evening of Wednesday November 20 from 7-10pm.
Appearing will be GIT Award 2013 winner Baltic Fleet, who recently supported Yoko Ono at London’s South Bank centre.
Joining them is singer/songwriter Nadine Carina, whose new EP Things That People Love to Remember is released on Monday November 18, producer Kalax and Mark Carney’s Bantam Lions.
There will also be a metal night presented by Behind the Wall of Sleep at 24 Kitchen Street, and Everisland will be showcasing acoustic talent at Elevator during the day.
Liverpool X, which runs from November 20-21 in a variety of spaces within the Baltic district, has been conceived and co-ordinated by Liverpool creative agency Archetype in collaboration with journalist and broadcaster Liam Fogarty, with backing from Liverpool Vision, Baltic Creative and the Plus Dane housing group
Getintothis Editor Peter Guy joins Craig Pennington, Editor of Bido Lito!, Sally Tallant, Director of Liverpool Biennial, Amy Jones of Royal Standard and Dave Pichilingi of Sound City on a panel discussing ‘Are we a city that makes culture or do we merely stage it?’
Getintothis editor, Peter Guy, said: ‘The people working day to day within the Baltic Triangle represent some of the lifeblood for future Liverpool – it’s a privilege to team up with them and bring some of Merseyside’s most exciting new talent to Liverpool X.
