Liverpool’s Sound Of Guns announce they’re to go on hiatus to concentrate on new projects.
Liverpool rock band Sound Of Guns have announced they are to go on hiatus.
The five-piece hard rock outfit said today they’re to concentrate on new projects after forming five years ago and releasing two albums.
Relentless touring across the globe, including celebrated headline shows at Liverpool Academy and St George’s Hall, made them a huge live draw.
They released two albums, 2010’s What Came From Fire and 2012’s Angels And Enemies, with the former containing their breakthrough singles Alcatraz and Architects.
Getintothis will cherish memories from a barnstorming Dubai Sound City in 2007 while singer Andrew Metcalfe‘s stuntman heroics throwing himself from the top balcony of their sell-out Kazimier show (pic below) for Club EVOL is the stuff of legend.
A statement on Sound Of Guns‘ Facebook page said: “Hello everyone. We thought it would be best to address the rumours going round about the band.
“Sound Of Guns are going on a hiatus. We have all decided to take a break from the band so that we can focus on other commitments/projects that we have put aside for the past 5 years. We’d like to thank everyone for all their endless support. Our families, friends and everyone who has worked tirelessly in getting the band to were it is today.
“Most importantly we’d like to thank our fans. Without you guys we wouldn’t be anywhere and the support from you has kept us going strong for the past five years.
“Thank you all, from Andy, Nathan, Lee, Coley & Simon.”
