The Farm, Tea Street Band and many others braved the stormclouds for a memorable day out at Stanley Park. Getintothis’ Gaz Jones got his waterproofs on.
Known colloquially as the People’s Gig, the latest leg of the Liverpool International Music Festival was fittingly hosted in the space between the city’s two football stadiums; places of gathering and worship for tens of thousands of people every week.
A varied bill that brought together home-grown legends, national acts and different flavours from across all spectrums.
There was even a couple of surprises in store, including John Robb joining The Farm on-stage at the end of a typically boisterous set.
Read Getintothis’ full review of the LIMF Sefton Park events here and a look back at what the city has learnt and earned from such fantastic, well-organised events.
Getintothis’ Gaz Jones got up close and personal with all involved.
A sign of things to come.
