Vryll Society debut album preview is upcoming
Scottish sensations The Snuts and rising rock n rollers The Zangwills play Liverpool as The Vryll Society drop a new track ahead of their album launch, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley is all ears.
Huyton singer songwriter Katie Mac will headline Buyers Club courtesy of Harvest Sun Promotions.
After catching the eye of many in Liverpool over the last 18 months she is set to release her debut EP, titled Believe, on Friday, August 24.
This is followed by a week celebration, where she’ll play in Chester, London, Manchester, York and Sheffield before coming to Liverpool on Friday, August 31.

Hotly tipped West Lothian band The Snuts will come to Liverpool as they continue their rise as one of Scotland’s best new bands.
From debut single Glasgow onwards, they’ve not looked back and managed to bag a big slot at that city’s premier festival, TRNSMT, last month.
Now they’ll come south to Liverpool as part of their UK tour on Thursday, October 11.

The Zangwills will top the bill at 81 Renshaw on Saturday, September 1.
Support will come from Salvador, Deep Sleep and Reclaim Vienna as Liverpool’s Dig Vinyl record store teams up with Softlad Promotions.
Gerry Cinnamon
Lake District festival Kendal Calling have been forced to make a last minute lineup change.
Original Saturday night headliners Run DMC have been replaced by Plan B, as the festival apologised for what was said to be a “scheduling issue.”
They festival have also added Gerry Cinnamon to their Thursday night lineup.
The singer songwriter packed Liverpool’s O2 Academy back in May as he continues to defy the odds to blow away venues across the UK.
He joins headliners Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Libertines as well as James, The Blinders and The Lucid Dream.

Meanwhile, in other tour news, Nick Mulvey will play Liverpool’s Arts Club as part of his UK tour.
The singer songwriter has two albums to his name including last years Wake Up Now and will come to Liverpool on Friday, October 12.

Finally, the shortlist for the fifth Welsh Language Album of the Year was revealed last night, with the eventual winner of this year’s award set to be announced on Thursday 9 August.
The shortlist is Band Pres Llareggub: Llareggub, Blodau Gwylltion: Llifo fel Oed, Bob Delyn a’r Ebillion: Dal i Redeg Dipyn Bach, Gai Toms : Gwalia, Gwyneth Glyn :Tro, Mellt: Mae’n Hawdd Pan ti’n Ifanc, Mr Phormula: Llais, Serol: Serol, Y Cledrau: Peiriant Ateb, Yr Eira: Toddi
Former winners are Bendith – a collaboration between Colorama and Plu for Bendith – Sŵnami (Sŵnami), Gwenno (Y Dydd Olaf) and The Gentle Good (Y Bardd Anfarwol).
Liverpool Olympia signs deal with Eventim and announces Seasick Steve date
Our new tune this week comes from The Vryll Society who are preparing for a debut album release and a date at LIMF.
The band play Liverpool’s O2 Academy on Friday, October 19 as part of a UK tour, which includes a date at London’s Lexington.
