The Jacaranda team have revealed a new venue in Liverpool city centre, Getintothis’ Peter Guy on exciting new development plans.
The Jacaranda team have revealed a new venue is to open in Liverpool city centre.
The new as yet unnamed venue will open on 40 Seel Street and will include a new music venue for live performances.
The venue, which will be run by the people behind Heebie Jeebies and EBGBs, will also feature a bar, restaurant area and, perhaps most intriguingly, a new record shop – expanding upon the already successful Jacaranda Records.
The first phase of the developments is already complete with organisers revealing the work underway in a short teaser video online.
Joe Maryanji, from EBGBs, said: “We have a new venue opening soon! Yup, on Friday May 25, we’ll be opening the doors to the brand new Jacaranda Records Store. Huge gig venue, tons of vinyl, custom listening booths, restaurant, courtyard, cocktail bar – yes, it’s fucking excellent.”
The Jacaranda and EBGBs have undergone a transformation on the live circuit in the last year becoming the focus for Independent Venue Week hosting the likes of established bands including Stealing Sheep and some of Liverpool’s hottest new bands including Pale Rider and Lennie Dies plus panels including Safe Gigs For Women.
- The new venue is scheduled to open on May 25 – watch the introductory video below.
