Amanda Fucking Palmer is back, here’s Getintothis’ Ellie Montgomery with the details of a UK tour and high hopes for a new album.
Amanda Palmer is a director, singer and musician known for her eclectically artistic array of performance styles that range from punk cabaret to pop rock.
She played a sell out gig at the Central Library when last in Liverpool, and now Palmer is due to return to the city, at St George’s Hall. This is one of the many dates on her International tour.
Palmer’s 2017 album Piano is Evil was met with great critical acclaim and features throughout the haunting reverberations of the piano pitted against her viscerally raw vocals. Tracks such as Do it With a Rockstar and Olly Olly Oxen Free demonstrate Palmer’s passionate vibrancy which are manifested throughout her artistic output. Often dubbed as The Social Media Queen of Rock-N-Roll and Amanda Fucking Palmer, she is definitely a force daring to be reckoned with.

The latest single, Judy Blume, is dedicated to the young adult fiction writer of the same name and is filled with a sorrowful zealousness which reflects on the recesses teenage experience and sexuality. The track not only prompts the possibility of a new album release, but sets the tone for her upcoming performances. Palmer’s approaching tour is not one to be missed.
