Lancaster’s greatest musical export The Lovely Eggs bring us news of a rescheduled tour and a new single, Getintothis’ Steven Doherty has the latest.
Acclaimed psych-punk duo The Lovely Eggs have announced a raft of rescheduled tour dates as well as details for their new single, the second from their recently released sixth album I Am Moron.
Still Second Rate, released on their own label EGG Records, comes on limited edition snot-green coloured vinyl and is backed by the non-album track Jam Wild Jam.
It is accompanied by a video which, like most things in The Lovely Eggs world, is self-made.
The band have no booking agent, manager or publisher and their own label, this has been the case since they started out back in 2006, and they are fiercely proud of this independence.
They have also announced details of new dates for the tour in support of the album, which have had to be rescheduled from April due to current world events.
Of the tour, they said, “In light of the Coronavirus, it was just impossible for us to go ahead with our April tour. We hope everyone can still make all the rescheduled gigs and get ready for one hell of an Eggs party this summer.
Solidarity going out to all the other bands, promoters and venues who have had to reschedule or cancel their tours. We’re all in it together. This is mad innit. Look after yourselves and see you on the other side Eggheads!”
