The Lemon Twigs are set to release their latest studio album this spring and Getintothis’ Amos Wynn has the latest updates.
It has been two years since American duo, The Lemon Twigs, brought out their last record, but the D’Addario brothers are now back for their third outing.
On the May 1, the New York duo will release Songs For the General Public, recorded at the bands Long Island home studio, Sonora Studios in Los Angeles and New York City’s Electric Lady.
Written and produced by the brothers themselves, the first single from the 12-track album is now out.
The One is available to stream, whilst an accompanying music video has also been released, and is directed by Michael Hili.
Since emerging with debut album Do Hollywood in 2016, The Lemon Twigs have enjoyed success and released their second album, Go To School, in 2018.
When discussing Brian and Michael, Sam France of Foxygen writes, “The Twigs are legends – teen sensations, k pop stars, BrotherLovers, Twiggy Cola Lite. Their songs exist as cultural freebase. Cocaine, water, baking soda, and DNA.”
Bikini Kill asked for revolution in the 90s, why are they still waiting?
