Oasis’ Liam Gallagher sends message of support to The Kairos’ Tom Dempsey and Lewis Chambers, Getintothis’ Peter Guy reports.
Liam Gallagher has sent his support to The Kairos after a stabbing left two teenagers hurt – one of them critically ill.
Liam sent a message saying “love and light” to “Tom and Lewis” from The Kairos, who are from Formby.
Liam‘s message via Twitter came 15 hours after a serious knifing in the city centre, on Church Street, at 4am Sunday March 1.
The singer told his 3.2million followers: “Sending love n light to Tom and Lewis from The Kairos thinking of you both, LG x.”
The four-piece are made up of Tom Dempsey on lead guitar and vocals, Lewis Chambers on guitar, Owen Forrester on bass and Sam Bradley on drums and backing vocals.
The Kairos are one of the region’s most exciting new guitar bands who have performed alongside the likes of Rats, Samurai Kip, SPILT, STONE and most recently played a massive hometown show at the Invisible Wind Factory.

The stabbing took place close to River Island on Church Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
One 19-year-old is critically hurt, while another man, also 19, suffered a minor knife wound to his face, and was later discharged from hospital.
A Twitter user who appeared to be a member of the Dempsey family replied to Liam‘s message, saying: “All the love to LG,” followed by a red heart.

The Kairos‘ last single Teetotal featured in Getintothis’ monthly best new music column Deep Cuts with contributor James Baker saying: “The Kairos have dropped their second single, and aren’t messing about on it at all,Teetotal sets a fast tempo right from the off and continues the youthfulness and pace all throughout.
“The song has an attitude to it, the kind you’d hear from a Liam Gallagher or a Miles Kane tune; something I for one love to hear.
“Heavy guitars soaked in reverb and a ferocious chorus, this is a single you could imagine ringing out at any venue in the city to a good reception.
“It’s the kind of tune that would stick in your head after a gig, one that would be perfect to close a set on.”
- Getintothis sends our love and best wishes to the band, their family and friends.
