Doves told fans last week that they’re “putting the finishing touches” on their first record since 2009, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley reports.
Doves are finalising their first album release in over a decade, as they’re set to master their new album next month.
The band’s last release was 2009’s Kingdom of Rust, but the band tweeted that they’re down to videos and cover art for a brand new LP.
Doves are yet to announce a firm release date, or title, for the record, but it is expected that it will drop in the summer.
The band released four albums before parting ways to follow solo projects over a decade ago.
But, Doves returned to the fore last year when announcing numerous tour and festival dates.
They coincided with the release of their reissued albums, Lost Souls, The Last Broadcast and Some Cities.

They’re yet to announce any dates for this year, but fans will hope that the upcoming album will see them back on tour in 2020.
