London’s KOKO club is ablaze, Getintothis’ Peter Guy reports on the fire currently being tackled in Camden.
London music venue KOKO is on fire with eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters attempting to save it.
The prominent Camden music venue has flames billowing out of its roof.
A third of the nightclub’s roof was alight as firefighters tried to save the rest of the venue.
The brigade said 30% of the roof was alight and it was “working hard” to save the rest of the building.
It also warned people to stay away from the area. No injuries have been reported.
In previous incarnations the venue was known as The Music Machine and Camden Palace and since relaunching in 2004 as KOKO has hosted album launches from Coldplay and Madonna.
While also holding live performances from Prince, Kanye West, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Amy Winehouse, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Skepta, and so many more.
