Liverpool’s newest promoter Friendly Headbutt are launching an innovative night at The Jacaranda next month.
Raucous Sheffield five-piece Slash Fiction and Bristol outfit Nervous Rex head up the debut event for the gig that aims to platform “female, nb, queer/LGBT+, POC and other minoritised artists within a punk and alternative scene otherwise dominated by cis straight white males.”
They’ll be joined by Liverpool feminist trio TITS UP! and Manchester’s anti-folk soloist Adam Carpenter on Monday February 17.
Natalie Lloyd, who’s behind the new grassroots/DIY promoter has outlined a “zero tolerance harassment policy” that aims to provide a safe space for gig-goers. Respect amongst all attendees “regardless of race, religion, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation” will be an absolute requirement.
