Big love to all the bands, venues, organisers and fans that made it down! My highlights were Buzzard, Buzzard, Buzzard and of course the mighty Teeth Of The Sea!
This week we’ve been getting misty-eyed at The National playing a drizzly Castlefield Bowl in Manchester, pop’s John Newman got intimate at Arts Club and big news as the boss people at EVOL are bringing dance stars BEAK> to Liverpool in December.
All of these wonderful shows can’t happen without the incredible venue network in Liverpool and we’ve been analysing the current situation surrounding our beloved music hideouts.
With Jimmy’s opening next months things are looking up but as Sound looks at threat of closure it could all get a lot darker. We dwelled on what could be done to help.
If you don’t want to leave the house but still fancy treating your eyes dive into our Singles Club #201 with the latest and best ditties from the likes of The Night Cafe, Flyte and Macclesfield’s finest Grimm Twins.
Elsewhere on the silver screen Getintothis’ wonderful film guru Chris Leathley has been celebrating the top films of the year so far.
