Melbourne seven-piece King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will return later this year with a brand new album, their fifteenth.
Infest The Rats’ Nest, released on Flightless Records on Friday, 16 August , is supposedly The Gizz’s hardest and heaviest album to date.
It comes just six months after the their latest album, Fishing For Fishes, and draws on the mid/late 1980s golden period of thrash metal – Metallica and Slayer as well as lesser-cited bands such as Exodus, Kreator and Overkill.
Infest The Rats’ Nest will see King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard take somewhat of a creative detour.

The release of the album will also see the band embark on a tour of Europe, including UK dates, one being a return to Manchester.
