North Londoners Sorry are out on tour May and Getintothis’ Will Neville is far from apologetic about that.
Sorry’s sound encompasses grunge, electronica and garage, calling to mind the likes of Wolf Alice and The Kills. Their last physical release was Showgirl, issued as a 7” single backed with Twinkle last June.
Although they’ve yet to release an album proper, there are two mix-tapes available, highlighting their love of electronic music and hip hop.
Their first new song of the year is Jealous Guy, the video for which you can see below – all hats, white gloves, saxophones and cigars.
While this isn’t a cover of the John Lennon classic from 1971’s Imagine album, turned into a big hit for Roxy Music a decade later, it is certainly aware of that tune in both composition and presentation.
This is subtly sung/spoken by both Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen, with its creeping menace a continuation of previous songs like Starstruck.
