Skeleton Coast Festival have just announced a second wave of artists for the Bank Holiday August shindig and Getintothis’ Rick Leach has the lowdown.
Skeleton Coast Festival have added many more acts to their already exciting line-up for the now well-established annual event.
In March they revealed that the festival would include Merseyside favourites Miles Kane, The Mysterines, Peach Fuzz and The Fernweh alongside The Snuts and, all the way from Brighton, Dream Wife.
Fresh acts joining the bill include Red Rum Club, riding high on the release of their well-received debut album and an outstanding performance at the recent BBC 6 Music Festival and the ever-perfect fit for a late sunny summer day, The Sundowners.
Singer songwriter Marvin Powell, must-sees Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, pysch-inflected Cut Glass Kings and London-based faves Average Sex are also new additions to the bill.
If that’s not enough to be going on with then Skeleton Coast have also lined up Life At the Arcade. Kangeroos, Ana Mae, Tracky, The Difference and Seamonsters.
Rounding up the day- and fitting it all into one day is a feat not to be underestimated- there’s also The Monks. Lucy Gaffney and Dan Disgrace to look forward to.
Whether or not we end up with a scorching August Bank Holiday or not, it doesn’t really matter when there’s such a diverse and fascinating selection of acts to dive into. Skeleton Coast Festival will be something to round the summer off in style.
