April has been another stormer of a month for the Getintothis photographers, Peter Goodbody and Kevin Barrett sift through the best shots.

So we’re back for our latest edition of our best photos of the month, and what a month it’s been for our gang of camera wranglers.

As we start to slide into the festival season the gig front has also been bursting with a fair few fanciful opportunities for our snappers to capture the best out there. One of the greatest pleasures about pulling this feature together each month is getting to delve deep into the vast array of talent we have in the team to pull out the very best.

It’s often cited that music photography is the toughest genre of all photography to master, given the low or indifferent stage lighting conditions, fast moving subjects, unpredictably of the crowd (this phase of throwing expensive pints towards the front of stage will always baffle me), and of course venue restrictions such as no pit access, or over zealous security telling you where you can or can’t shoot from.

So to see the standard of photos that we receive month after month from the team still amazes and inspires at the same time.

What’s great is the creative diversity within the team, we pride ourselves here at Getintothis is giving the the team as much creative freedom to express themselves through their work, and the results are telling due to this approach.

These past few months has seen a few new faces join the photography team here at Getintothis, and all have hit the ground running with some incredibly exciting work.

Courtney Hughes got a chance for her first time in a photo pit to shoot her favourite artist in Nina Nesbitt with the love clear to see in the shots (she wrote the review, too). Mark Holt has already brought his own style to the table with an excellent eye for detail, especially at 24 Kitchen Street‘s Terry Reilly gig, given the venue’s notoriously challenging stage lighting. Conor Baxter has displayed some fantastic work in an already busy start for the team.
