The first wave of acts for Manchester Psych Fest is unveiled, here’s Getintothis’ Cath Holland with the deets.
Manchester Psych Fest returns for its seventh year and offers some tasty treats in its initial line up, suggesting this is their strongest line up to date. The event is bigger than ever before and located in larger venues.
This year’s festival has 30 artists across five stages in three of the city’s finest venues, the O2 Ritz Manchester, Gorilla and newcomer YES.
Taking place on 30 August, the first wave of artists makes for an impressive read.
Courtney Barnett, psych darlings Temples, Goat Girl, kooky lo-fi duo The Lovely Eggs, THE CULT OF DOM KELLER, PINS and many more are amongst the first names to be unveiled.
More are set to be announced in due course. Manchester Psych Fest delivers a whipping 12 hours of psych and post punk noise, running from 4pm until 4am, it features DJs, art installations and food stalls to keep gig goers entertained, fed and watered and promises to be a hell of a day.
Early bird tickets are already sold out.
