Three piece rock outfit Drenge have announced their third studio album, Getintothis’ Will Truby reports.
Derbyshire band Drenge have announced that they’ll be releasing their third album, Strange Creatures, next month.
The new LP is hot on the tails of an incredibly busy 2018 for the band, who released two EPs; Autonomy and Bonfire of the City Boys.
If these releases signifies anything, it’s that the band haven’t lost one iota of their trademark fury over the past three years, but have certainly dived deep into new territory. Post-punk guitars prevail, with a heavy dash of 00’s indie disco and new-rave throughout.
Bonfire of the City boys saw the band take a leaf out of anti-rock heroes PiL’s book, with frontman Eoin Loveless reciting something of a spoken word piece over a grinding industrial rhythm section.
