Clean Cut Kid have revealed details of a new album, Getintothis’ Luke Halls has dates for an upcoming spring 2019 UK tour to go with it.
Having been testing out material from the new sophomore record on an intimate UK tour in November, Clean Cut Kid will be bringing the full Painwave experience to the UK in 2019.
Ahead of the new record, the band released new single Emily. Written to a friend of the band, the song explores the pains and troubles of depression, a topic close to the band’s heart.
Talking Painwave, lead singer and guitarist Mike Halls sees the new record as one of Clean Cut Kid’s most personal releases to date.
‘Painwave is… reaching out to the listener and saying “ok let’s talk about these things we’re not meant to say out loud”. It’s the sum of everything we’ve experienced as people, produced with the sum up of everything we’ve learned as musicians. An unpolished, uninterrupted tape-saturated 1970s journey through human vulnerability.’
Tickets are on sale now.
