RivFest returns to Warrington for its third year next weekend and Getintothis’ Amos Wynn has all the info you’ll need.
RivFest will return for it’s third year on July 13 and 14, taking place across multiple venues in Warrington.
Initially launched in 2016, it was set up in memory of Warrington’s Viola Beach, who alongside their manager tragically lost their lives in a road accident whilst on tour in Sweden that February.
The River Reeves Foundation and RivFest were created by the family of guitarist River Reeves with the focus of raising funds to showcase emerging talents, as well as helping young artists achieve their goals.
Leading Friday’s line-up this year at Parr Hall are the Lottery Winners, a Leigh-based band who will be making their biggest headline appearance to date.
Also performing will be Stockport band No Hot Ashes. The four piece also played Liverpool’s Sound City this year, and have a number of big festivals appearances coming up throughout the summer.
Fridays line-up is complete by Kula Bay and The Bohos, for what is sure to be an exciting night of new music.

Meanwhile, heading up Saturday as the main headlining act will be Fickle Friends, the indie pop four-piece from Brighton who will be bringing a summer atmosphere to Parr Hall.
Joining them will be Stockport band Fuzzy Sun, who are fresh from supporting Blossoms on their May tour.
Another standout band that will be making an appearance at this year’s RivFest are The K’s. With two singles under their belt, this Cheshire-based four piece are steadily gaining momentum, and have earned themselves radio play and amassed a good number of streams on Spotify.
The Viola Beach stage will be held at Friars Court, featuring Merseyside favourites The Mysterines, Stockport’s electro-indie outfit Kashmere as well as an acoustic set from four-piece Plastic House. Alongside them will also be an as yet unnamed special guest.
Music won’t be the only attraction for festival attenddees to enjoy, with RivFest delivering a selection of comedy, philosophy and a wide range of entertainment.
Overall the event is shaping up to look like a great two days of talent. As it’s for a special cause and the memory of Viola Beach, the artists’ displays become ever-more meaningful, making it an event not to be missed.
