Nick Ellis is set to play a different sort of gig and Getintothis’ Howard Doupé has all the particulars for a unique event.
Continuing to celebrate his latest release Adult Fiction, Nick Ellis‘ Spring Fiction tour heads to The Unitarian Church on Saturday, April 7 along with a host of support from Reid Anderson, Campbell L. Sangster, Ali Horn and Roy.
Adding to the happening will be the exhibition ‘A Walk Through the City’ with photography from John Johnson and Robin Clewley. Named after a track from Ellis’ debut solo Grace & Danger EP, the one-day exhibition of black and white street photography.
The exhibition chimes with Ellis’ ‘streetscape narrative noir’ approach, presented by the two prominent Liverpool photographers. Johnson and Clewley work independently, each in their own individual and distinctive style, but their shared passion for image-making and the contemporary urban landscape has led to a compelling collection.
The evenings events will conclude with an aftershow party at the Handyman Brewery (Smithdown Road) with DJ sets from Richie Vegas and Edgar Summertyme.
The event will be at The Unitarian Church, Ullet Road, Saturday, April 7. Doors at 5pm.
Tickets are £10 in advance, children under 14 get in for free if accompanied by an adult.
