American dance punk band !!! visit Liverpool this summer, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley has the details.
!!! will play Hangar 34 in a headline show on August 2.
The band, pronounced Chk Chk Chk, were formed in Sacramento, California back in 1995 as a merger of Black Liquorice and Popesmashers and have released seven studio albums, the most recent being 2017’s Shake My Shudder.
Vocalist Nic Offer has overseen an array of members during the lifespan of the band. !!! currently comprise of Mario Andreoni (guitar), Dan Gorman (horns/percussion/keys), Tyler Pope (bass/electronics), and Allan Wilson (horns/percussion/keys). Touring members often include Shannon Funchess (vocals) and Paul Quattrone (drums).
Now based in New York, !!! are a truly unique proposition, with sounds that can range from beach funk to electronic dance,this date is a massive one in Liverpool’s music calendar.
