Psychedelic dream pop Californian Avi Buffalo is to make his Liverpool debut on Sunday May 20.
Avi Buffalo (aka Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg) will perform a solo set in the intimate surrounds of 81 Renshaw Street – the coffee-come-record-shop turned new music venue.
Released in 2010, Avi Buffalo‘s self-titled debut album was a sleeper hit garnering wide critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic with singles What’s In It For and the epic Remember The Last Time notable for their beautiful wordplay and keening melodies.
His second album for Sub Pop Records, At Best Cuckold, again received positive reviews and tours across the UK and Europe followed.
His date at 81 Renshaw St will be his debut in Liverpool – and with such an intimate setting on offer, tickets are sure to be in short supply. Act fast.
Edit: WAAIL have just announced a Manchester date as well. Avi Buffalo will also play Manchester’s Aatma on May 27.
