With seven Liverpudlian thorough-bred music makers set to jet off to Hungary for Made in Pécs music festival, Getintothis’ Lauren Wise has the details on what looks to be an exciting couple of days.
If you haven’t heard of the Made in Pécs Festival, we’ll forgive you.
Considering this celebration of global music is just over a year old and takes place across Europe in the southern Hungarian city, Pécs, it’s understandable if its slipped your festival-loving peripheral.
However this year, it is certainly one that should be on your radar.
For 2018 Made in Pécs Festival organisers have decided to look a little further afield for fresh and exciting artists, delving into the Liverpool music scene to seek out the best up and coming talent.
On 5-6 January 2018, seven Scouse artists will perform in venues across Pécs, bringing a touch of the city abroad.
Artists playing the festival include; Skeleton Key’s She Drew The Gun, who took to the stage and hypnotised the crowd at this year’s Liverpool Music Week, avant-garde act a.P.A.t.T. and local four-piece Strange Collective, who will be providing psychedelically guitar-melting solos.
Best cities for live music and why trying to define the indefinable is a waste of time
Performing alongside them will be Chinsniffer, Joe Topping & Scott Poley, Vidar Norheim and Oranj Son.
With numerous music venues dotted across the city, Pécs is the perfect location for a European festival littered with brilliant music and beautiful scenery.
