Husband and wife duo, The Handsome Family announce massive UK tour in support of their tenth studio record, Getintothis’ Matthew Wood reports.
Calling at Leaf as part of their UK tour, The Handsome Family are set to bring their unique blend of Americana and alternative country to Liverpool in 2018.
For those of you who tuned into HBO’s True Detective back in 2014, you will have heard the track that earned them their fully deserved exposure; Far From Any Road was chosen as the opening theme for the gritty crime drama.
Brett & Rennie Sparks have been writing together for over two decades and their tenth studio record, Unseen has been hailed as a masterpiece by many, combining tales of ghosts and mystery with their dusty, desert sound.
Many have been won over by their rich, eloquent storytelling steeped in enticingly gloomy Gothic history, and their live performances bring these tales fully to life. Marked with strong wit and cinematic tendencies, this is bound to be something special in Leaf’s intimate setting!
