St Vincent releases an exciting new album, announces UK live shows and Getintothis’ Ellie Montgomery has all the details.
St. Vincent’ has released a new album MASSEDUCTION today.
St. Vincent’ (aka Annie Clark) released new single Pills, featuring Kamasi Washington, Jenny Lewis and former girlfriend and model Cara Delevingne on backing vocals.
MASSEDUCTION is her sixth studio album, is the anticipated follow up to her acclaimed and self-titled 2015 release.
Co-produced by St. Vincent and Jack Antonoff aided by Kendrick Lamar collaborator Sounwave at Electric Lady Studios in Manhattan, MASSEDUCTION significantly reflects a generation of music which is, in tracks such as Los Ageless and Pills, interrogating the struggles of getting by in an ageist and pharmaceutically driven society.
Annie Clark ultimately, and gracefully, negotiates with the nuances of minimalistic pop-electronica.
Last week, St. Vincent performed a preview of MASSEDUCTION at Red Bull Music Academy Festival in LA.
She will be coming to the UK and Ireland throughout October and playing venues in London, Manchester and Dublin.
#MASSEDUCTION is finally out!
