Pulled Apart by Horses prepare to hit the road and Getintothis’ Paul Fitzgerald has the details.
Leeds indie rockers Pulled Apart By Horses are heading out on the road for a winter tour, including a show at Liverpool’s Arts Club on December 8.
The band released their fourth studio album, The Haze in March of this year, and despite the three year hiatus since their last offering, the album proves they still cut the mustard, and that there’s still mustard to cut.
Holed up with a new drummer in a Welsh dairy farm, with no access to the Internet and little connection to the outside world, the band felt that they were ‘writing for no-one but ourselves. We became like a little family – cooking for one another, building fires, holding late-night karaoke competitions – and completely immersed ourselves in the music’

As a result, they have put together an album that leaps up at the listener. From the frenetically paced urgency of the title track to the brooding moodiness of Lamping, complete with festival-friendly ‘la la la’ chorus, it does feel that they’re taking their own brand sleazy rock stylings forward to deliver their best record yet.
The band are also giving away free downloads of live versions of two songs, The Haze and Flash Lads to anyone buying tickets through Seetickets.
