On the topic of Liars latest endeavour, Getintothis’ Ryan Craig has the lowdown on their latest release and world tour.
Experimental Aussie-American rock band, Liars, release a hauntingly tense new video for Starting At Zero. The latest track to be released from the album TFCF (or Theme From Crying Fountain).
The video, directed by Clemens Habicht, who has previously worked with the likes of Clinic and Tame Impala amongst others, takes us on a short journey through the eerie waterways of the Australian bush.
On this, Liars’ eighth studio album, the bustling backdrops of Los Angeles, Berlin and New York have been replaced with a presence far more intimate and autobiographical as Liars once again boldly step out of their comfort zone into vastly new musical territory and reinvent the band’s paradigm – blurring the lines between electronic and acoustic, between the experimental impulse and the addictive pop sensibility.
With the success of an eighth studio album comes a world tour, and the inclusion of a trip to Manchester’s Albert Hall on October 28.
Liars embark on the West Coast leg of their US tour on October 6, with support from HXXS and return to Europe in October, starting a series of dates with a performance at London’s Heaven on October 27 UK support comes from Glasgow’s own synthpop duo Happy Meals.

27 October – UK, London, Heaven
28 October – UK, Manchester, Albert Hall
