Josh Rouse returns to the UK with a stop off at Liverpool’s Leaf, Getintothis’ Peter Guy looks forward to the acclaimed songwriter’s return.
Josh Rouse has revealed dates for a headline UK and Europe tour in April 2018.
The tour includes stops at Liverpool’s Leaf Tea Shop, Petit Bain in Paris, The Garage in London and N9 in Eeklo, Belgium.
On the ten-city run, Rouse will be performing with a full band and today releases new single, Love in the Modern Age.
Rouse said, “The song is somewhat of a mantra, an ode to not giving up. Long live love and the lyrics of Leonard Cohen.”
Rouse has long since solidified his status as a first-rate songwriter his eleven studio releases most notably with his acclaimed breakout album 1972 and follow-up album Nashville.

Rouse last played Liverpool in 2013, again at Leaf Tea Shop, following the release of his 2013 album The Happiness Waltz and before that played a memorable show at the city’s Black-E in 2012 with his band The Long Vacations.
