Juanita Stein has embarked upon a wide stretching UK tour and thankfully she’s dropping by to show case her new album, Getintothis’ Joe Giess tells all.
Now in her 40th year it seems Juanita Stein has taken a more reflective approach to her music.
She has stepped away from the shadow of the melodious scuzz we all know as Howling Bells, and she’s just released her first solo debut album ‘America’ on Mute.
For fans of Howling Bells they will note a distinct change, the album is a series of stripped back, mature songs that has taken more influence from Roy Orbison and Patsy Cline. As a result, strong comparisons are to be drawn to Margo Price and Lindi Ortega, it’s a genuine treat for general fans of Americana and Country.
She will be popping into the Buyers Club on the September 30. Tickets are at £8.80.
