As FACT announce details of a special panel event as part of Liverpool Film Night, Getintothis’ Del Pike reveals what’s in store.
As part of FACT’s upcoming Film Night, the organisers are proud to announce details of a panel of industry professionals who will be attending to answer questions and advise on all areas of filmmaking.
LJMU senior lecturer in film-making, Demelza Kooij will be hosting the event which will include contributions from the award-winning composer and producer, David A Hughes, the actor and filmmaker specialising in LGBT films, Carl Loughlin, and the author and director, Helen Walsh.
Liverpool Film Night is an excellent opportunity for new filmmakers to have their work shown and as previous events have shown, this can often lead to greater things.
Andy Smith and Harry Sherriff are just two of many artists who have found wider success since showing their films at this event.
Carl Loughlin, whose film Tellin’ Dad which was screened at FACT as part of the Pride celebrations this year, enthuses; “I’m thrilled to be on the panel for Liverpool Film Night as I think it’s important to highlight and celebrate local talent on and off the screen. I encourage everyone to get out there, get filming, get collaborating and get entering!”
