Ahead of Amber Run’s gig at Hangar 34 in October, Getintothis caught up for a quick chat with Joe Keogh.
Amber Run are set to perform at Liverpool’s Hangar 34 in support of their sophomore album For A Moment I Was Lost.
In what has been a busy year for the band, Amber Run also released an acoustic EP back in July, the first single of which you can hear below. The track sees the band give their take on Maggie Rogers‘ Alaska.
Ahead of the band’s date at Hangar 34 in October, Getintothis caught up with frontman Joe Keogh for a quick fire Q&A.
Musicians Against Homelessness Announces Huge Weekender at Hangar 34 and more
Getintothis: Alive or dead; which guitarist, drummer and bassist would form your fantasy power trio?
Joe Keogh: David Gilmour, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney.
Getintothis: What’s your favourite song by a Liverpool artist? And why?
Joe Keogh: Come Together – The Beatles. But for more contemporary artists I reckon We used To Be In Love by Clean Cut Kid.
Getintothis: Who was the last act you paid to see and what did you think of them?
Joe Keogh: The Maccabees for their last shows. It was wicked. They smashed it.
Getintothis: Divulge your most diva-ish moment on tour..
Joe Keogh: I’m a diva all the time. Can’t switch it off.
Getintothis: Why should we come to your gig and what’s in your encore?
Joe Keogh: Because we put on a great show and care. That’s telling. Stay until the end and you’ll find out. And in reality everyone can kind of guess what every band is going to play in their encore can’t they…?
Getintothis: Finally, what’s your hot tip for a new album?
Joe Keogh: Flyte – The Loved Ones
