The godfather of acid jazz is one of music’s most heavily sampled artists, famed for having more of his songs sampled by rappers than any other artist.
Ayers has over 30 original albums to his credit, crafted the entirety of the Coffy soundtrack, hosted the fictitious radio show on Grand Theft Auto and has collaborated with the likes of Rick James, Masters at Work and Erykah Badu. Now into his sixth decade, the world’s most famous vibraphonist returns to Liverpool and heads to the Baltic Triangle. Who wouldn’t want to listen to Everybody Loves the Sunshine in the peak of summer?
