Australian musician Alex Cameron comes to Liverpool with his moody electronic flavours, Getintothis’ Amaan Khan brings the report.
Ex-SeeKae member Alex Cameron is the newest talent that Harvest Sun Promotions will be bringing to Liverpool.
As one of the opening statements – a memorable one like every other in the film for the film’s fans – of cult classic The Big Lebowski remarks: “Sometimes, there’s a man, well, he’s the man for his time and place. He fits right in there.” Now think of a time when synth-laden dream pop weirdness is the latest trend, 8-bit chip tunes are a legit subculture and Mac DeMarco is king. We are talking of the current times of course – and in times like these, Alex Cameron fits right in.

After leaving electronic outfit SeeKae and signing to Secretly Candian, Australian musician Alex Cameron took standard synth-pop of a retro flavour and laced it up with a Nick Cave like moodiness with latex scars and a dedicated on-stage persona thrown in for good measure.
Cameron will be touring several places in the world throughout the year with a short UK tour planned for late August.
- Alex Cameron‘s UK tour stops by Liverpool’s The Shipping Forecast on August 27.
