Zuzu is named the fourth recipient of The GIT Award One to Watch ahead of the Constellations showcase on Saturday May 13 2017.

Zuzu has been named The GIT Award 2017 One to Watch ahead of the Constellations ceremony this Saturday, May 13.

The Liverpool songwriter becomes the fourth new artist to receive the award, following in the footsteps of Taya, Louis Berry and Lápsley.

Zuzu has enjoyed a steady rise to prominence over the past couple of years, catching the eye of BBC Introducing, Radio One, and many others through her energetic, attitude packed guitar pop. She has a jam-packed year ahead of her, with many festival performances on the horizon including a slot at Liverpool Sound City.

Zuzu will receive the One to Watch award at an event this Saturday, May 13, at Constellations, where the winner of this year’s GIT Award winner will also be crowned.

The winner will be selected from a shortlist of 12 artists; Aystar, Baltic Fleet, Louis Berry, The Coral, God Colony, Immix Ensemble, Ohmns, Or:La, She Drew The Gun, Suedebrown, XamVolo and the Vryll Society.

The GIT Award ceremony will also see Getintothis celebrate their 10th birthday, with performances from artists including RongoRongo, Pixey, VEYU and more taking place at an all day event.
