Dan Croll announces the July release of new album Emerging Adulthood, Getintothis’ Amaan Khan has news of this as well as May tour dates.
Dan Croll will be following his lauded 2014 release Sweet Disarray with a new album titled Emerging Adulthood on July 21.
Prior to release of his new album Croll will hit the road on a short nationwide tour, calling at Manchester‘s Sound Control on May 14 as well as dates in Glasgow, Leeds, and at London‘s Heaven.
The album is produced by Ben Allen and Dan’s reason for choosing him as the producer hints at what can be expected from the album: “I chose Ben because he’s bounced around genres. He’s worked with Deerhunter and Animal Collective, won a grammy with Cee-Lo Green, and collaborated with Kelis and Amerie.
“I can relate to that because I am just as skittish, genre-wise. My aim is to approach pop from an unusual angle.”

A taste of the album can be had from the single Swim that was released last year. On May 12, Croll will be releasing another single titled One of Us. The date also marks the start of a short UK-wide tour.
Between 2014’s Sweet Disarray and the upcoming Emerging Adulthood, Dan Croll has been highly sought after as a support act, opening for Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Bombay Bicycle Club and Chvrches. Of late, he even had a stint with Dial Dan, a hotline his fans called to connect with him and get away from their problems.
Based on his support tours and acting as agony uncle to his fans, it seems that Croll‘s new album is bound to make a lot of people happy.
