As the London post-punk upstarts plot a course for the North, Getintothis’ Craig MacDonald welcomes their arrival.
London aggro rockers Shame kick off their UK tour this Spring, by hitting Liverpool’s The Magnet on April 25.
The supercharged quintet will be heading out on their biggest UK tour to date, fresh from no doubt causing mass drama and chaos in equal portions on their stint at SXSW, as they continue to build up momentum.
Having released a gut of singles already, including the their ode to Theresa May Visa Vulture and their all conquering latest cut Tasteless, the group first come to our attention with their clattering, brash bravado on their gut punching debut Gold Hole.
The double A side also heralded The Lick as a potential modern punk anthem, with its energised bursts providing a much needed dose of vicious raw vitality. Trust us when we say that you will be in for a lively outing when it plays on these dates.
As Shame continue to cement their reputation as a blossoming live band, chances are that their stint in America, coupled with these dates, will only continue to see their reputation grow at a rate of knots.
