Emerging soul legend Michael Kiwanuka announces his autumn tour, Getintothis’ Amaan Khan can hardly wait.
After all six dates of his spring tour sold out, Michael Kiwanuka has announced seven more dates for later this year which includes a show at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall.
Emerging to the public eye with Polydor released album Home Again and winning BBC Sound of 2012, Kiwanuka has gone on to become one of the most authentic acts of the decade.
His Danger Mouse produced second album, Love & Hate, released last year, not only went to number one in the UK albums chart but also bagged nominations at both Mercury and BRITs.
The hype seems justified by the evidence of the sold out shows for April and May. So it’s a real bonus to hear Kiwanuka will go on road again later in the year.
With his on-point vocals, clever guitar skills and some of the best songwriting around from a modern artist, it won’t be surprising if the tickets for the autumn show sell out fast.
- Michael Kiwanuka plays Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall on October 21 2017. Tickets go on sale March 3.
Michael Kiwanuka‘s autumn tour dates are:
October 16: Symphony Hall, Birmingham

October 18: Concert Hall, Perth
October 20: Barbican, York
October 21: Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool
October 23: The Great Hall, Exeter
