After a highly successful debut at Liverpool Exhibition Centre last year MCM will return in 2017. Getintothis’ Vicky Pea’s ALIVE… to tell us more.
Dust off your sewing machines and start your papier mâché practice runs because MCM Comic Con is returning to Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre this March.
With last year’s event very much acting as a dry run to gauge the demand fans will be thrilled with the news that not only will the convention be returning to the city, but bigger and better with cult icon hero and sci-fi legend Sam J. freekin’ Jones leading the charge as the first celebrity guests.
How Comic Con is a creative outlet for everyday folk, and why you won’t want to miss the next one!
Most famous for his beloved portrayal of Flash Gordon (and subsequent appearances in Ted for younger readers) the announcement will no doubt draw admirers of all ages who will be keen to get the change to meet the hero up close and personal.
Joining Flash for the two day event is anime voice star Trina Nishimura who most notably voices lead character Mikasa Ackerman in global phenomenon Attack On Titan. With dozens of credits to her name and a career spanning over 10 years this is a chance not to miss for admirers of Japanese film and TV as Trina will be giving away free autographs courtesy of MyM magazine.
Details of further celebrity guests and special exhibits will follow ahead of the big weekend which takes place at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre on March 11 and 12.
That’s all for now, we love you, but we only have 14 hours to save the Earth, so we’ll be seeing you there!
UPDATE:
Starsky, Hutch and Huggy Bear will be bringing some 70’s style to the weekend as Paul Michael Glaser, David Soul and Antonio Fargas have been added to the line up. Maybe time to add flares to the costume?
