With the young artist set to join the iconic label’s lineup, Getintothis’ Luke Chandley looks at a star in the making.
After what she called “months of negotiation, keeping secrets and making plans”, 17 year old singer/songwriter Eleanor Nelly announced this evening that she has signed a record and management deal with legendary recording label Decca Records.
Posting on her social media accounts today, Eleanor stated how she couldn’t wait to get involved with life as a full-time artist, with the singer clearly buzzing to be joining artists such as Xam Volo, The Lumineers and Lucie Silvas, and continuing a long line of musical success from her native Liverpool.
Winning the LIMF – One to Watch title in 2015, Eleanor has continued to rise to prominence, and fans’ interest had been sparked this afternoon as she told her Facebook followers that there would be an announcement made this evening.
It’s really exciting to see such a young and talented musician such as Nelly start on her way to professional stardom, and we’re all excited to she where this path takes her.
UPDATE: Eleanor has posted a recent picture to her Facebook page recording inside the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Go ‘ed.
