A new album and a new tour on the way sees a bright future for the Leeds lads and lasses, as Getintothis‘ David Hall reports.
Looking ahead to the new year brings exciting new music coming to Liverpool from across the Pennines. With their new single Maybe We’ll Drown recently released, Menace Beach have now announced a date at The Magnet on February 10.
The fearsomely DIY-centric indie rockers enjoy something of a supergroup status, composed of core members Ryan Needham and Liza Violet. The remaining collaborators are assembled from the cream of the Leeds music scene, members of Sky Larkin, now-defunct underground heroes You Animals (once known as Komakino) and with production from Hookworms‘ MJ, make up Menace Beach.

Menace Beach‘s new album Lemon Memory drops on January 20. It is released through Memphis Industries Records, also home to underground luminaries including POLICA, The Go! Team, Barbarossa, Field Music and NZCA LINES.
Memphis Industries also handled the Leeds quintet’s breakthrough, last year’s debut full length Ratworld.
Menace Beach play The Magnet Friday, February 10, 2017. Tickets are available now.
