As details come through of a monster closing party to celebrate Liverpool Music Week 2016, Getintothis‘ David Hall gives you the rundown on a right old shindig.
Liverpool Music Week have announced details of their 2016 closing party, which is set to take place on November 4 at various venues across the North Liverpool docklands, featuring a huge line up of some of the best in Merseyside and national talent, including headliners Clinic.
With the announcement coming hot on the heels of Liverpool City Council’s Ten Streets project, which aims to regenerate the North Liverpool Docklands and nurture a creative environment in the area, the LMW16 Closing Party is set to be a major calendar addition.
Taking place across Liverpool creative spaces including Invisible Wind Factory, Northshore Troubadour, Meraki and more, the closing party will be a celebration of the Merseyside music scene. Stages have been curated by Getintothis and Bido Lito! plus promoters Milk Presents.
Merseyside favourites and Domino Recordings signees, experimental art-rock heroes Clinic will headline the closing party, which will also feature Barberos’ Spandex Party.
This will see the masked Liverpool noise terrorist trio deliver a full album show, featuring collaborations with GIT Award winners All We Are, plus Stealing Sheep and more.
The full list of additions for the closing party features the cream of Liverpool musical talent, shaping up like this: All We Are, Apatt, Asuzena, The AV Society, Barberos, Big Safari, Bonnacons of Doom, Cavalier Song, Cavalry, Clinic, Danye, Faux Queens, Galactic Funk Militia, Graham Dunning Mechanical Techno, I See Rivers, Lying Bastards, Mamatung, Ovvls, RongoRongo, Sankofa, Strange Collective, The Aleph, The Floormen, The Shipbuilders, Stealing Sheep, The Wicked Whispers, Veyu and XamVolo, plus DJ sets from Bernie Connor and Charles Hayward.
