With the celebration set to take place at The Black-E and FACT, Getintothis’ Craig MacDonald has all the details for a vast cultural gathering.
An abundance of cultural delights will be on display this month, when The World Transformed comes to Liverpool on September 24-27, with Stealing Sheep and All We Are set to play the event’s closing party at The Black-E.
With both the GIT Award nominees and GIT Award winners, both renowned for their stunning live performances, are sure to provide a fitting finale for the enlightening spectacular when they join acappella ensemble Barbie Shop at The Black-E on Tuesday, September 27.
Hosted by Momentum, the four day extravaganza runs along side Labour‘s annual party conference taking place in the city and will aim to be a celebration of politics, art, music, culture and community, while promoting a radical, positive vision for the future.
The happening will feature a whole host of workshops, art exhibitions and talks from the likes of Owen Jones and Ken Loach, with the iconic director also set to hold a special preview of his Palm D’Or winning film I, Daniel Blake at FACT on September 24.
Meanwhile, on Monday evening (September 26), music legend Brian Eno will join Diane Abbott, CND’s Kate Hudson plus campaigners and trade unionists to speak at a Stop the War Coalition meeting at the Friends Meeting House in School Lane.
With many of the events free, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to experience all that The World Transformed has to offer.
