This September High Soul gathers together some of the city’s top bands in support of Liverpool Food Banks and Getintothis’ Cath Bore has all the details.
The Lunatic Fringe is a showcase of some of Liverpool’s most out there, lysergically soaked, psych-flavoured acts brought together for a one-night-only benefit in aid of Liverpool Food Banks.
Food bank usage is still on the increase, an issue now vanished from the headlines, making events designed to create awareness and generate stock for those in need, as important as ever.
Bands offering their services for the night include Bathymetry, Strange Collective, Wild Fruit Art Collective, GIT Award nominees RongoRongo, Ohmns, The Probes, The Floormen, God on my Right, FUSS and more to be confirmed, plus Bernie Connor will be DJing.
Admission will be £5 on the door, alternatively people are being asked to bring along non-perishable groceries of the same value. Items such as cereal, tinned food such as soup, beans, meat, vegetables, or dried pasta, rice, pasta sauce, tea and coffee, sugar and biscuits are welcomed
The Lunatic Fringe, at Buyers Club on Sept 22. 7.30pm – 2am.
